I couldn’t be happier with all schools that my children have attended, from elementary through high school. Admin listened and were supportive. My boys teachers were always helpful and don't think you can get a better public school education. I love Appo SD!

Overall the academics are not bad. However I did not like the pathways each student has to choose in order to graduate. Having to complete a pathway stunted me from having space in my schedule to take other classes I was interested in such as art or geography. Sports wise I have had a good experience with soccer but an unsatisfactory experience with cheerleading and the coach/sports director associated with that. This contributes to my low ranking of administration. Ranking teachers is difficult because some of my teachers were excellent, however others were unacceptable. I do not eat the food at school, so I cannot give an accurate ranking on food however the vending machines are always broken.
The Appoquinimink School District is a very open and diverse community. They listen to the student body when issues arise and solve them in the best interest for everyone. The teachers and administration are always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that each and every student has an equal opportunity and chance at doing the best they can. I have never met staff as hardworking as those who work in the Appoquinimink School District. One thing I think that could be changed is the course selection process. I wish that they offered more AP courses to 9th and to10th graders. But all in all, the School District offers a wide variety of classes and also have over 100 different clubs that students can join ,and this is to make sure that every student has the opportunity to shine.
