Appomattox County Public Schools Reviews
Appomattox County Public schools have decent quality materials, and most of the schools are in new buildings. The class sizes are small and very homogenous, with little diversity. This allows teachers to be more hands on and attentive to students, but gives the students little cultural experience. The food is decent, and there are a few alternative options for meals, and there are many clubs students may participate in with their peers. Appomattox are generally safe schools and make intelligent judgement calls in stressful situations. The high school has many advanced placement and early college options for students to excel in academics and prepare for college, and I found that while the administration was sub-par, the teachers genuinely care for the students and will go out of their way to help them achieve their goals and find them opportunities.
Appomattox is a quiet countryside where I've lived majority of my life. If you know us it's either because of football or our outstanding FFA program. Appomattox's community is so uplifting, we support and help through anything. The love in this county makes graduation bittersweet. It's time to start a new chapter in my life and I couldn't have done it without them❤
Several teachers here do not care about their students as much as they should and they are not compassionate at all. Administration plays favorites sometimes and makes certain students feel like outcast.
