Appleton Area School District Reviews
The Appleton Area School district is what I grew up in since kindergarten. It has great apportunities for students of all ages with activities and clubs to get involved with the community. Parent involvement is good with staffing dances and field trips, mainly for younger grades. It's also very diverse with the multiple cultures in the Appleton area as well as people with different career interests, from business, mechanics, to art and acting. The college readiness is better than other districts I've heard of with the AP and other advanced courses which can earn you college credits for lower prices. School food in Appleton is very great, there's always a multitude of foods to choose from and you get a well rounded meal every time. There's a a lot of school culture too, and going to Appleton West Highschool, West is Best!
I went to Appleton North High School and had a very good experience! They have great teachers and extra curricular activities. There are so many clubs everyone is bound to find something that interests them, and if not it is very easy to start your won. The reason I gave a four star rating was because I thought the guidance office was inefficient and unhelpful. They told me they couldn't change my schedule but then ended up doing it anyways after wasting 45 minutes of my time. The 10th grade meeting about college focused only on in state, cheap colleges when I know I want to go out of state. Every other aspect of the school was fun and inviting though!
In the Appleton Area School District, there are so many opportunities that you can take advantage of. If you want to take a class outside of school to get more credits or explore other topics, you can take eSchool which is an online education system where you can take courses during all times of the year. This program is very useful for students who need to make up classes that did not fit in their schedule, or to take classes early for a study hall during the upcoming school year. The district also offers a large variety of AP classes for students who are interested. If one school doesn't work out for you, there are so many other options for you too. Teachers in the Appleton Area School District are overall very compassionate and encouraging toward their students. They wish the best for their students and help them to achieve their goals, and from my experiences, they have always been someone you can talk to if you are struggling.
