Apache Junction Unified School District Reviews
I would like to see better funding for sports other than football. I would've liked to have teachers who actually taught instead of doing nothing. Open campus for upper class men. Stricter teachers who disciplined students who were goofing off instead of ignoring it. Better counselors who pushed cap freshmen year instead of seiner year. Getting freshmen ready for college and educating them about it instead of leaving them to fend for themselves. Teach them about student debt and get them applying for scholarships. Help them be ready for college. Notice when a student becomes depressed or is having a problem with anxiety. Notice things, care, and be strict. Don't be their friends.
My experience with Apache Junction Unified School District has not been the worst but it also has not been the best. We have switched office management people so much in the past 4 years of me being there, I am now a senior graduating 2020. Our school needs to let students know about scholarships/school trips a while before slips or applications are due, I missed out on our community scholarships due to the fact that they "forgot" to mention it. They have some flaws I hope that will be resolved.
AJHS is a school that really works with you. They believe in success, they truly want you to succeed at anything and everything you do! I was in that district nearly my whole school career and it was a great experience. I sadly moved away before my Junior year of high school, and it was tragic and detrimental to me. I had the chance to come back the second half of my senior year and it was one of the best choices if my life. I will always be a Prospector through and through!
