The Andrews Independent School District has changed my growth process in a dramatic way. As a Texas school they hold pride for the betterment of their students. They are willing to do so much in terms of not only their classes but the students as individuals. There are so many challenges schools face yet Andrews faces those challenges with as such confidence and integrity they possibly can. They care and wish to make their students understand the importance of their education not only for themselves but those who surround them. The staff takes pride in the materials they teach; even if it means they sacrifice their own personal time. They challenge their students to broaden their own self image for the potential they know their students are capable of. The school has created an environment not only for educational purposes but also for personal growth and retaining a responsibility pattern that has great importance for future graduates.
I have attended AISD schools since kindergarten. I have always felt like my personal academic needs are met. AISD excels both in the classroom and within an extracurricular space. There are a wide variety of clubs, sports, and organizations offered to students. I have been heavily involved in both academic activity’s such as UIL, as well as activities in fine arts, such as band. In both aspects, I have received not only exceptional teaching from the school, but wonderful opportunities that I could not have gotten anywhere else.
I have gone to school in the Andrews Independent School District from the beginning they never seem to disappoint and always put the students needs first, whether that be extra help on work or even a referral to a tutor that suits a student's needs. It also gives students many utilities to improve their academics like computers, IPads, and a lot more.
