Honestly I love this school so much; it gives me and the students so much opportunities to learn and grown. The teachers are so utterly amazing, they are so kind and helpful. Most schools Don't have you take culinary as a freshman but here at Anderson they do! I find it so amazing that they trust us freshman in a kitchen. Now what I don't quite like is the students, they are just so disrespectful to everyone and show no care towards anyone, there is a few good ones though. I also don't like that the school isn't that strict, that's why the kids get away with so many things, I hope they change that soon. Other than that, Anderson is an amazing highschool and I recommend it!
The Anderson Union High School District cares about it's students and wants them to be successful. Various teachers and staff have connections in the community that help students with job and career opportunities like Project Share, the Health Department, 4H, Shasta College, University of Oregon, and others. These resources are very helpful to students. However, the teachers and staff could work more on accommodating for student's needs in regards to different learning styles. While covid is definitely presenting challenges and the teachers are trying their best, during distance learning there are more tools that the teachers could be using. For instance, Discord could be a better option than Zoom. That being said, while using Zoom, recording the lessons and breaking them down into smaller chunks could be useful.
Schools have state and national recognition for their academic achievements. Only district with an Early College model, whereby students can graduate with an associate degree at same time as they earn their high school diploma. Excellent career technical programs with many of those programs achieving 100 percent placement after graduation. One of the top music departments on all of the northern state. National recognized FFA program, along with excellent sports teams.
