I have attended school in Anderson School District 1 all my life. Both of my parents also attended there. My mom is a teacher and taught in Greenville County until I was in kindergarten. She made the change to teach in Anderson District 1 because both my parents wanted me to attend the great district just as they had done. I am thankful for my experience here and feel prepared to enter the college world upon graduation.
Palmetto High School is a small school with only around eight to nine hundred students. Most teachers are very caring and want their students to succeed. Even though they are caring, Palmetto doesn’t get their students ready for college or life as much as they should. During my time attending Palmetto, I noticed that there is not much diversity within the school . I was always a minority ,but I was never given problems because of that. High school was significantly easy so I suggest that the school board consider rethinking the curriculum to have their students ready for college or their carrer.
I have gone to school in Anderson School District 1 my entire life. The schools are the best around in the entire Anderson area. The teachers within these schools genuinely care for their students and it is absolutely amazing to be a part of such an awesome district. All of the schools are all around fantastic. My school, Powdersville High, is one of the best within our district for sure. Our state test grades and behavior tops the other two schools within our district.
