Anchor Bay School District Reviews
My experience at Anchor Bay has been nothing but amazing these last few years. The school spirit is fantastic and uplifting, and that’s not even the teachers. They go above and beyond when trying to help their students wether it be staying after school to help someone study or even just allowing someone to redo a low grade. They are always doing whatever they can to help anyone that asks!
Anchor Bay High School taught me a lot about life. The school culture that the students and teachers created made me feel at home and made me feel like I had a second family. We lost five students from my graduating class over the course of middle and high school, and these students were loved by everyone. When these students passed away, this made everyone closer and everyone was there for everyone. We had support groups and everyone would always check on each other to make sure that we were doing alright. Due to us losing so many of our close friends, we never took anyone for granted and grew together as a family. Anchor Bay will forever have a spot in my heart.
There is a variety of classes to take. The academics are great. There are some great teachers, other teachers could be better. About two thousand students go to Anchor Bay, so there is a variety of "clicks" so you are bound to fit in with one group. I really like that we have 50+ foreign exchange students, which started about two years ago. Despite this, there is not as much diversity as my old district. I have been in the Anchor Bay School District for three and a half years, and so far my experience has generally been great.
