I enjoyed my time at Amory High School overall. It is definitely a sports school. At times I often felt excluded since I did not play sports. However, there is an amazing Drama Department, but limited due to only one teacher.
I experience some unequal treatment in terms of punishment. I would like to see more equal opportunity for students and more freedom for seniors to chose their classes. I was placed in classes that I did not choose but made the school look good by placing me there. They completely disregarded how my GPA would be affected. Academics however are really good. I feel like the teachers really go beyond their call to prepare their students. I have made great connections with various teachers and feel like they did an amazing job at preparing me not only for college but also the world.
I liked how while attending Amory High School we would also stick to our traditions of Panther Pride, but over the years things would change for the better. We had great staff, and an amazing student body.
