I’ve been in Alvin Isd since 2018 when my family moved from the Hisd area, where I previously attended Bellaire HS. Alvin Isd is small in comparison to Hisd which I believe is way better for students because it makes it easier to access each students needs better. They also offer dual credit courses through Alvin community college which is great for students who don’t succeed well in AP courses but still want the challenge and college credit. The only issue with the district I have is that it focuses more on punishments for not obeying dress code and other very minor things rather than educational time.

I have studied and going to alvin isd since Kindergarten.
Grew up in this town and with most of my classmates. I feel my school has always given me so much opportunities to learn. I was able to participate and volunteer in my community.
At present I have joined HOSA and TSA.
When in 11th grade, I participated in the HOSA competition project with other schools. Clinical rotation taught me to see all aspects of the different health professionals.
My senior year, I strive for certification in medical assistant program through my school.
My experience at alvin independent school district was great. I've attended it since I was in first in 1st grade and and loved it ever since. This school district has great teachers that have love for the students in and outside of the classroom, I remember being in elementary and a kid in my class was having trouble at home and my teacher talked to him after class and helped him out. There isn't much that I would want to change but for highschool i would like more freedom, last year I left my project in my car and when I went back to get it the assignment principle did not let me leave, so freedom is something that needs to happen.
