Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District Reviews
I can not say enough for all the departments in the Altmar Parish Williamstown School District. Whenever I call for a bus change or to speak to a teacher I have always had the help that was needed! Everyone is always so friendly and out going and eager to answer my questions. I have been to many sport events at this school the grounds are always neat and tidy along with very clean buildings. They also have many programs to benefit the community such as stuff a bus and the car seat give away , which has helped so many people.
APW is relatively nice district. The people are nice and the buildings are updated and modern, but the administrative power tends to shift often, with new principals and superintendents coming in often. It is a small school so there aren't as many opportunities as there would be in a school closer to the city (Syracuse).
It was a good school. The school was very small, which made it a tight knit community. Many teachers really cared and were down to earth. The location of the school, being in the middle of nowhere, was good. I enjoy the activities that the area provides. such as snowmobiling and hunting. There was not much bullying. The lack of quality teachers however, was disappointing. The teachers were either really great, or not good at all. There did not seem to be many clubs offered, and the sports were minimal.
