Altamont Community Unit School District No. 10 Reviews
Altamont Community High School has been where I have spent the past 4 years being educated for college. The teachers care about each and every student, and strive to see everyone pass their class. It’s not as diverse as other schools are, but what do you expect in a small rural community. When I first came in as a freshman the school spirit and participation in school activities was phenomenal! ACHS has been an amazing experience and I will be sad to go. I’ve loved every year at that school, even when times were tough. I highly recommend Altamont Community High School to anyone who is looking for great student to staff relations and ratio.
Altamont High School is an excellent place to get an education. The administration and staff are well equipped to handle situations and provide one-on-one teaching to ensure each students' success.
I enjoyed my time at Altamont High School and in this school district as a whole. I love my community for especially being small because this makes my education more personal. I am able to have one on one time with teachers and am able to have close relationships with many of the people in my class. I enjoyed my choices of classes and I really enjoyed our block schedule with A and B days. As I said I enjoyed my choice of classes, however, I wish my school had more teachers able to teach dual credit classes. This would be beneficial for getting a jump start on college and not have to pay as much for the same classes on a college campus. So, overall I love my school district and would recommend this community to anyone who asked. The only reason my review is not five stars is because of the small amount of dual credit courses available.
