I moved into American Fork High school boundaries half way into my junior year. I remember my first day of school at American Fork High was one I will never forget. First period I walked into my English Honors class and immediately, my new teacher gave me the most friendly welcoming into her class. She presumed to give the students a portion of the class time to "Get to know" their new fellow peer. Soon enough I was invited to school activities, lunch hangouts, after school activities, and clubs. I had never felt so at home in a foreign place in my entire life. It felt like I had known the students, teachers, and administration as if I had been attending the school all along. Knowing that the Alpine School District goes above and beyond to achieve a comfortable, safe, and supporting environment in their High Schools, as they have with American Fork, should bring ease to every concerned student or parent about having a memorable scholastic experience!

Alpine School District is Awesome but what is more Awesome was the schools that I went to: Legacy Elementary, AF Jr High, AF High School. I had amazing
K-12 Experiences and Wonderful Teachers and Counselors throughout those years. I think the biggest challenges that I saw through my K-12 school career was due to the high volume of students that attend these schools. It makes it more challenging for all: the students, the teachers, the faculty but it was amazing to watch how everyone dealt with it and supported one another and worked together! So all in all I can't say there needs to be changes!
My experience in Alpine was great! There are many school in the district and they all have their own uniqueness. I personally went to Pleasant Grove High school where I found that it was very diverse but involved everyone that wished to be involved and where the teachers, staff and students reached out to even those that were secluded, whether by their own decisions or by circumstances in life. All-in-all my experience was great! I would like to see more resources given when it came to preparation for college, or at least better broadcasted opportunities for scholarships.
