Alma School's best quality I feel is the hands on, one on one experience. Class sizes are small; the senior class has fourteen kids. The students and teachers are able to create bonds, work together, and accomplish anything together. Teachers help their students with any work the students need help with. I think the biggest change for my school, however, would be to accept that the world is obviously changing and evolving in a technological world. Work is assigned online and some students are taking college online classes, myself included. I think the administration should start accepting that students use their own computers, and that the use of laptops are easy and accessable to use.
Since I have moved here back in elementary school, I have grown my mindset and knowledge greatly. The sense of community here is enormous; however, there are some academic barriers I wish to overcome. The lack of challenging classes (AP options, etc) is limited, and the teachers must learn to better communicate with students on a level they will understand.
There is a severe lack of opportunity at this school, and the staff is more incompetent than the students themselves.
