Overall, Allen Park High School is a strong community. Most teachers in the district love their jobs and genuinely care about providing each student with the education they deserve. Students have the support of their most of their teachers along with most of the administrators and parents. The staff values preparedness and safety of their students.

While APHS excels at providing students with an education in preparation for their future, it lacks in some areas. There is little to no diversity. The majority of students are Caucasian and a lot of the time discriminate against minorities. Along with the lack of community between all students, the cafeteria food, for lack of better words, sucks. For the price it costs, you don't get much. Mashed potatoes and pizza are a common combination due to lack of alternative sides.

I moved to Allen Park when I was going into sixth grade, from an outside district. Moving here was the best decision my family and I have ever made. The community and school are both warm and welcoming. The teachers here work their hardest to have a real personal connection with you. In this small town it's hard not to. I'm truly blessed with this experience of moving to Allen Park and coming to school here. I now excell in athletics, allowing me to make the varsity cheerleading team all four years of high school, and am now a D2 state champion. I hold myself to a higher standard by just being here in this community. I'll forever be thankful for the Allen Park high school staff and the school all together
Allen Park Public Schools a is a well-funded district that prides itself on developing the future members of society. With modern facilities and dedicated teachers, it is a great district for a child to grow up and learn in. Their athletics programs are highly competitive, and the academics have produced some of the most intelligent minds in the area. Pair that with little to no conflict, drug use, and teen pregnancy, you have a school system that is effective beyond all measure.
