Allegheny Valley School District Reviews
Overall, my experience at Springdale was good. I had nice small class sizes and my teachers worked very hard. However, the school lacked diversity and seemed out of touch. This is probably partially because the administration is awful. For years Springdale has been a stepping stone for administrators to better jobs. There was a lack of consistency or consideration for the students. Every new principle (I had about 5 during my time at the high school) started a new initiative that was never finished, and we were left to deal with it. With that said I turned out fine, graduated top of my class, and have gone on to be successful in college. This is because of the amazing teachers at Springdale. Their dedication to my education in and out of the class sometimes put them in a tough spot with their superiors, but helped me an indescribable amount to succeed.
It’s a pretty decent school, but it’s from a small town, making it a bit difficult to be diverse. The education part is pretty great and the teachers are quite amazing, they care and they try their best to aim for students success
As a former student, I found that Allegheny Valley School District was a good school with great opportunities for academic advancements in the form of Advanced Placement classes on online learning opportunities. However, it lacks diversity which is visible in the culture present at the school. "Outsiders" are often not very welcome and must struggle to find a place.
