My experience as a non athletic, non band or choir member, just a normal student, sucks.I never realized how much school can represent the whole world, as in proving that social classes exist and that the higher classes get the more advantages and recognition.Sports kids and some rich kids have the whole school at their knees, they get the benefits, they get all of the recognition, and for some reason sports kids are way more important than other kids that don't do sports. We should all be treated equally and all get applaud for our success, not just sporties. The choir and band get some but barely any because sports to every single school across the nation is is the most important and number one priortized thing because apparently it's what symbolizes our school some kind of load of dump. Sports isn't a god and I wish people would stop worshipping them, especially our teachers and principles.I'm an individual normal student that has my own success and goals and I matter too.

Pretty decent school, better than a few schools in the area. If you're a kid looking for trouble, don't come here for sure, it's just more trouble that adds to the other few troubles in this school. Teachers are pretty good. Some suck at there job while others knock it out of the ball park with teaching. If you're a good student then this would be a good school for you as the teachers will most definitely help you with whatever you need if you put enthusiasm in any subject and respect them as well, even if you don't rock at calculus, the teacher will still like you for sure!
I will never forget my experiences at Allegan or the life long friends I've had the chance to meet. I did not like being the first group of students to switch from the ACT to the SAT, that was very stressful as we've always been prepared for the ACT. I loved tiger olympics and the dances, I went to almost all of them. Also, I will never forget our annual "paint war" as seniors. We actually got kicked out and to go home and shower! These are all unforgettable memories I get to share with my very close group of friends from Allegan High School.
