Ajo Unified School District Reviews
Ever since I moved into a small town with only one school, my life has changed for the better. This was the spark of my education. Even though Ajo High School has limited clubs, sports, activities, and teachers, this does not change the fact that the high school helped me learn and grow into an individual who values their education. The teachers took their time to thoroughly teach their students lessons, and therefore, they taught me things that I did not comprehend back when I was still in middle school. The school system here is great. There may be too many tests, but that's just how it is. Furthermore, the students here get along very well. There's very little to no bullying here, and everyone has full of school spirit. Ajo students bring each other up, support each other, and also cheer each one another. It's really a great school. Ajo High School has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and you're surely feel welcomed!
Ajo Unified School District is a small school. Everybody knows everybody. The teachers are great and education is always put first. One thing I would like to change though is to add more programs. Like choir, acting, dance, etc. We have lots of sports but swimming and gymnastics are not included. More school get-togethers would be amazing! Gender Blender, Sports Day, Spirit Week, etc. But all in all I love this school!
My experience has been delightful as of yet. If the administration recognizes that you have good enough grades and think you can go up a grade, they'll allow it to not hold you back. We always have at least one Border Patrol on campus and since our school is close to a fire department and police station, they are quick to respond. One thing wrong is the lack of clubs or activities. It's steadily improving but there is still some room to improve on. We also don't have much funding as the school is in a very small town. The town is also in a very low academic standard as many parents don't encourage to do classwork or show up.
