Adams County School District No. 14 Reviews
The Adams 14 disctrict to me has been good, but I think that the reason why is because I put in hard work. I advocate for myself, I’ve taken hard classes and joined a lot of clubs at my school. Even though my district has a bad idea of our learning and testing abilities I believe that not everyone in our school is dumb. Everyone notices the bad things going on in our school rather than the good but I do believe that we have talented and smart students in our school. We need the district to listen to us to give us the help that we really need in order to turn our school around.
I love the passion the students have to keep traditions going at the school, but the school administrators and board members have no sense of what communication is and focuses more on test scores and attendance than the actual students themselves. The better the students are taken care of the better test scores and attendance will be.
For the most part, Adams 14 is not exceedingly bad. Most of the teachers at my school truly have a passion for teaching. They truly cared about their students and did everything in their power to help the students succeed. The teachers are not the problem with the district, the main problem comes with the administration. The administration at Adams 14 limits the students a lot. The main example being that students cannot go off campus to eat lunch. This wouldn't be a problem if this restriction was only imposed on underclassmen and students who had behavior, attendance, or academic problems. However, this rule is put on the entire student body. Even for those who have proven trustworthy. Another problem is that the district limits what events our school's student council can plan. Due to this, they cannot plan events and school pride and morale are low due to this. Overall the district teachers and not bad, the problem comes from a restrictive administration.
