Liberty High School Specifically-Band, choir, dance, and other art classes and programs are AMAZING! Every year, the performing arts teachers get together to produce a show called Scarborough fair- an all inclusive mashup of singing, dancing, and theatre performance. It is a no cut program and includes kids of all social groups. In general, the teachers are superb and attentive, and each student's needs are considered and taken care of to the best of the staff's abilities. Another unique thing about A20, it has a totally accepting atmosphere. As opposed to other schools, and districts, there aren't as obvious "cliques". Athletes, theatre kids and everyone far and in between mesh together. There is a high attendance supporting athletic events and high support and participation in performing arts events.

There is great adminstration for school district 20. I attended Liberty High school and loved it. Everyone is super supportive of the students' goals and dreams. Communications could be a little bit; however, when the district switched to online school for the last three months of school, communication was remarkable. There was a mutual understanding that everyone is struggling and we were all learning and worked together to figure it out. I loved the culture and atmosphere in Liberty and throughout district 20. I played field hockey all four years of high school. The team is made of players from all 5 high schools in district 20. I got to know the cultures of all the high schools. Any school in district 20 is great!
I am currently a senior at Liberty High School in District 20. My favorite thing about my school is our lancer strong program. Our program helps a lot with mental health and having people there for you. In our lancer strong program, we celebrate things like having positive friendships and good mentors. I think it has really helped many kids feel like they have somewhere they can belong and feel welcome. I also think the District hires really well educated and good teachers! I feel like I can learn really well in my classes because my teachers are amazing! I am so grateful that I am able to go to a school in District 20!
