I have been in the abc unified school district for over 10 years! One thing I love about this district is that it is so diverse. There are so many people with different ethnic backgrounds and cultures and I believe this is how schools should be. Another reason why I love this district is because the teachers want to help students succeed. Similarly, the staff here is so supportive of the student’s academics. I think this district needs to work on helping students that need emotional or mental help. We need well trained counselors who know how to get help for these students in need instead of just shrugging them off and telling them that “everything’s going to be okay”. Despite this school district needing to improve on getting better counselors to help with mental and emotional problems in students, abc unified provides the students with all the necessary materials to succeed thought high school, college, and even after college.

At ABC Unified School District in Cerritos High School, the administrators and teachers are amazing. They truly care about and try to ensure the safety and education of all students is attained to the best level. The students are very smart and behave well in class. Everyone respects each other and the diversity there is very wide. The only factor I would recommend changing is the facilities. The gym needs better air conditioning and the classrooms often have leaking ceilings. Perhaps newer buildings will improve these problems!
ABC unifies district is awesome!
I love how the ABC district continues to better as the years go by. How there is all these different programs offered to students from help with academics , to offering jobs for high school students .
My first job, was actually with the help of the program that abc offered.
The teachers at this district are passionate , well educated, respectful etc. I think one of the reasons why , is because some of their staff was once a student to one of the many schools that make ABC a family.
I think the way ABC runs the schools is great as it is , but if I had to say one of the things it should work with is by offering more college programs besides AVID.
For example, I’ve known many successful students who have attended other school out of our district mentioning they were part of PUENTE , Upper Bound something you don’t here around here.
