Cypress Woods High School is an excellent school! It is highly competitive in academics, sports, and other activities. It offers many advanced courses such as Dual Credit and AP that allows students to get out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. The teachers are very detailed in their explanations of the material and focus on ensuring that each student receives the quality education he/she deserves. They truly love to teach, and do an amazing job at instilling important leadership qualities into their students. They also go out of their way to stay after school or go in early to tutor those struggling in a class. The school has a very diverse environment, especially due to the hundreds of clubs and extracurriculars that embrace different cultures and traditions. There is always something to participate in, such as community service events, sports, or performances. The school is also very organized and spacious. Most of all, the students are united and happy to attend!
I am currently a Senior at Cy-Woods and my experience here has been great! 212 Wildcats! I can't believe how fast time has gone by since I first arrived as a freshman. Every teacher here is great and makes sure their students understand what they're learning and gives their best! I love our school spirit and positive energy! We have spirit weeks every month along with pep rallies, and that really contributes to the positive atmosphere at the school. We push to be involved in clubs and our community and overall create a safe and welcoming atmosphere at our school. We celebrate every morning on the school announcements and start off the day with a fun joke or fact. Cy-Woods is very academically competitive and I've always given my best in everything I do. I've made great friends and had great teachers! Overall, Cy-Woods is an amazing school and I've enjoyed my time here!
Supportive teachers across the board! There are a wide variety of clubs and activities with passionate students and motivated teachers. Courses offered at the highest level have some of the best teachers around. General "on-level" courses are however a little bit neglected. School cleanliness needs improvement; Some weeks there was no soap in the restrooms. The school budget is also drastically misspent on "technology" such as spending $4000 Walkie-talkies for each classroom a few years ago. Overall, the school has great teachers but has a lackluster administration.
