I was at Cypress Ranch High School for all four of my high school years. I liked the atmosphere of the school and our sports teams were great! Good school spirit and pride. There were quite a few different options for electives and taking things that interested you, and also many different clubs, activities and sports to choose from. The teachers were mostly very good and the counselors were always available to speak with. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a school that is strong in sports and has a lot of different events to attend.

What I liked about Cypress Ranch High School was that it was a nice environment for students to interact and do their work. It was a safe place with not so much drama like other high schools. In addition, there were a variety of clubs that students could partake in to meet people with similar interests. This school also prepared me for college. I remember the many things that I learned and was still able to apply them in college. Moreover, the teachers were often prepared to teach their students and gave us a lot of work to practice. Furthermore, I graduated here which is amazing!
CyRanch is a very large high school in the suburbs of Houston. Because it is so large, it is able to offer a wide variety of academic and extracurricular programs. Athletically, CyRanch is very competitive in most every sport. We compete at the 6A level. Academically, I have taken AP, Dual Credit, and Honors courses. Unfortunately, many of the AP and Dual Credit classes are combined courses. This is not good! In these classes, the dual credit students are taught the same way as the AP students. There has been significant change at the top of the school admin this last year, the school will have a different feel in August. Additionally, CyRanch will no longer be the 'golden child' of CFISD. A new high school, Bridgeland HS, has opened and it will become the flagship high school for the district.
