I am a loyal Alumnus who now works at Cushing. When I was here as a student over 30 years ago this school embraced me as a youngster looking to find his way as a young freshman who needed a lot of guidance, structure & support. The support I got then is the same support that I see students getting now. Our faculty and staff are very hands-on and attentive to student needs and learning styles. We have an advisory system in place that has built-in checks and balances to make sure the students get the support they need & do not get lost. The student to faculty ratio is such that all students are respected and known for who they are and what they bring to our community. The true meaning of our mission statement, which reads - Cushing exists for students and develops curious, creative and confident learners & leaders has not been more evident for a long time. Cushing's future is bright and I am very proud to be a part of this community again as a faculty member and loyal Alum. Go Penguins!

I have had two children at Cushing Academy, and their experience has been superb in every way. The administration, faculty, and staff are w order full group of supportive adults who are first and foremost interested in supporting the students at the school. Both my children felt this, and being very different kids they touched many areas of school life. We are proud to be a Cushing family, and look forward to sending our younger children in future years. Go Penguins!
I am a recent graduate of Cushing. It was my second boarding school after attending a similar school and it exceeded my expectations in ways I hadn't known previously existed. I feel so grateful for the students, faculty and staff I met during my time at CA because I met so many different kinds of people and truly, not just in a cliche way, learned something from each of them. The magic of Cushing is in its community, and I have never heard of or experienced a school that does a better job at creating a tight knit community that can weather the inevitable ups and downs of high school. This place has an energy and atmosphere that sets it apart from any other school - almost everyday I remember something else about Cushing that made me who I am today. I owe almost everything I cherish to Cushing, and my experience is not out of the ordinary - Cushing changes lives for the better.
