If you are looking for a school with an outstanding athletic and academic department, then CVHS is the right place! The school offers students a wide variety of academic programs that few other schools have, and the staff ensures, to the best of their ability, that the students get the most out of their education. Though the grading system may be a let down for many of the students, it makes them work and think harder, and truly prepares them for college. The athletic department at Cumberland Valley is, as I stated earlier, outstanding, as is their music department. The school offers dozens of after school clubs that students love and enjoy and can use as a safe space to be free and let loose. One of the very few things the school lacks however, is diversity among both students and staff. But overall, the school is amazing and I've had a lot of fun there.

I am grateful for being able to attend Cumberland Valley High School, as it offers a vast selection of courses for people of all interests ranging from Photography to Engineering to Farming. Additionally, a majority of the teachers are very kind, personable, and teach with immense passion. Nevertheless, the restrictions placed on the classes each grade level can take hinders the students' learning experience. For example, gifted students, who advance in their studies are prohibited from taking classes above their grade level classes without an override from parents.
All in all Cumberland Valley School district offers many opportunities and the teachers really do leave an impact on your life.
As someone who has always struggled to fit in and make friends, high school seemed like such a daunting abyss where I would easily fall through the cracks. However, I am so thankful for my experience at Cumberland Valley. The state-of-the-art performing arts center is where I was able to see myself transform into a confident woman who loved to sing on the stage in all of the spring musicals. I stood in the front row during the annual Paint War game when I was a senior, and I even got nominated to be on the homecoming court. Most importantly, Cumberland Valley's teachers are some of the best mentors and sponsors I have ever had in my life. I am convinced that one of the driving reasons that I got into my dream school is because of how hard my AP Chemistry teacher made me work every day, and I am eternally thankful for him. During my time at Cumberland Valley, I learned how to work hard for my goals, how to balance my busy schedule, and how to appreciate every day.
