As a senior, I can look back on my high school experience and say that it was good! I have had very positive experiences with some very well-educated teachers that I learned from and retained information from. I have had, and have observed others having, a very positive experience with the students at CVCS. Not everyone at our Christian school is a Christian, but, for example, in the way new students are accepted into friend groups, there is evidence that our school is different from your average public school. Our school has a great program for sports, in which many students are participants. Music and art are not as popular, but I think our school does a good job making sure that those who are interested are not forgotten. For changes, I would strengthen the student-wide Christian faith in our school, as well as the individual student's love for the Lord, so that we would become an even better example of Jesus' love to other schools, other people, and our whole community.

I have enjoyed my time at CVCS immensely! I have made friends for life because of the school. I am extremely thankful for all the teachers that I have had the privilege of learning from over the years as they are amazing people who are always willing to reach out a hand. However, I wish the administration would be more accepting of new ideas by the students.
The church-run administration is horrible. They are VERY PRIDEFUL. They even insert themselves when what the students get in trouble for has nothing to do with the school at all. There have been multiple instances where instead of talking to students/ parents about something the kid did, they’ve yelled at, tried to intimidate, and told them how bad of a Christian they are. They’ll even go as far as to tell the students and parents that they’re failures and liars and MAKE THEM CRY!.. the security is also pretty bad and makes students feel unsafe. Plus only the honors math/science classes are taken seriously by most students as opposed to lower math/science classes. The teachers are way underpaid and some are expected to do way too much work. If it weren’t for how nice the classmates are, some of the sports programs, and the honors classes I’d give this school 1 Star.
