We live in a great community! Our school is a smaller close knit school that has helped me reach my highest potential academically and athletically. My teachers and coach have encouraged me to do my best. I have had the opportunity to take honors classes as well as enroll in a dual enrollment program at a local community college earning college credits.
I have gone to Culleoka every year since Kindergarten. I moved the second half of third grade, but came back the beginning of fourth. The school I moved to didn't compare to Culleoka. The people at that school were all rude to each other and the teachers didn't know how to teach good. At Culleoka, everyone knows everyone and everyone is friendly for the most part. My experience for the most part has been fairly good, it could've been worse. The teachers here are all very welcoming and truly care for their students. Some students are rude, but that's to be expected at all schools. If someone were to ask me if I recommend going to Culleoka, I would most definitely recommend it. One amazing thing about Culleoka is safety is not a problem. One thing that athletic students won't like is our school doesn't have the best sports teams. They are decent. We don't have a football team, we play with another school. Overall, I personally have enjoyed my time at Culleoka.
Culleoka has been an outstanding place for me. I have been a student since the first grade, and over the years, I have formed amazing connections with students and faculty alike. No one slips through the cracks, and the environment is community-based. That being said, it is no secret that Culleoka does not have the best academics or sports teams. It doesn't make a difference k-8, but when you get to high school, there is a shortage of honors and AP classes. Should you be aiming for a competitive college after high school, such as I was, you will have to be a self-motivated student who is willing to take the extra step outside of class. Like any high school, it is what you make it.
