Crystal Lake Central High School feels more like a family rather than a school. Yes everyone is coming there to learn and receive a good education. But the support and relationships that you create throughout those 4 years are incredible. All the teachers and staff go out of their way to make sure you're understanding the content and if you need extra help, they are extremely flexible with your schedule to make time. Currently I am a senior and I can say with confidence that I have made the best group of friends that have supported me, pushed me, and helped me reach my full potential! Athletically I am involved in volleyball and soccer. And the coaches really challenge you in order to get used to feeling uncomfortable and ready for your future beyond high school. With graduation only a few months away I can say I am honestly ready and prepared to face college and the challenges life is ready to throw at me thanks to the amazing high school I attended Crystal Lake Central High School!

My experience at Crystal Lake Central has been one of a kind. CLC has a long reputation eagerness to help students learn. Teachers are extremely selfless and dedicate their time to ensuring their students do not solely memorize the material, but understand it through and through. CLC does a phenomenal job of providing students with resources to communicate their academic and emotional problems with staff. A special tool CLC provides is the academic support center. From Math help to English help, the academic support center has it all. CLC is constantly striving for excellence and they are successful in completing this goal. My only trouble I have is the peer to peer relationships. While the staff does their best to maintain a positive environment, it can be difficult for some students to be inclusive of everyone and their unique characteristics. Nonetheless, I am confident that both students and staff at Crystal Lake Central are prepared to only get better from here! Go Tigers!
Crystal lake Central was like a home to me. I could stay inside whenever I really needed to finish my homework or talk with a teacher. The teachers knew what they were doing and the way they teach their students was really astonishing. They understand the students' learning a abilities and believe that we could succeed as students if we put our minds into learning something new. What I really liked about the school was the councilors and how they are REALLY there for the students unlike other schools that I've been to. These councilors really want to help and I really admired that about them. I've only enrolled in this school for 2 years and I've already missed it. The environment was pretty good and the students there were very sweet when I first moved to this new school. Thanks for everything that this school had done for me and almost ready to become a college student!
