Crossroads Academy Reviews
Rating 4.93 out of 5 15 reviews
Crossroads is the best school for our kids. We are so impressed by the teachers' and administrators' dedication to a safe, caring environment as well as a rigorous education. We have two current students at Crossroads and will send our third child in a year for kindergarten. Our kids have flourished at Crossroads because I believe the Core Knowledge curriculum has encouraged them to retain their natural curiosity for learning about the world. The teachers are attentive and kind and not afraid to present our kids with big ideas. My kids have also learned incredible public speaking skills through numerous opportunities since kindergarten. Not only are they receiving a rigorous academic education but the Core Virtues program continues to teach them empathy, respect and taking responsibility for our decisions. I continue to be amazed at how excited my kids are to go to school - what a treasure we found! Thanks, Crossroads!
The best (and easiest) choice we've made for our kids' education to date! We love the rigorous curricula and the incredible teachers and staff. Importantly, our kids love it, too! We've watched them grow and thrive in an environment where learning and inquiry is "cool," and school is never boring.
Before joining Crossroads, we had to supplement our kids' education at home to ensure they were getting challenging work. Now we are confident that the work they do in their classrooms is engaging and appropriately demanding. Our early elementary age kids are learning (and performing!) Shakespeare, honing Socratic Method skills, playing violin with their classmates, regularly working on public speaking, and making great strides in math and science. We feel so lucky to be part of this school and community.

We've had our child in Crossroads for two years now and couldn't be happier. Not only are the academics excellent, the student-teacher ratios fantastic, but the environment is warm and caring — he's thriving socially thanks to a great team of 1st grade teachers.
It's amazing how the school fosters connections between younger and older students. Our kid had some special 5th grade friends that took him under their wing in Kindergarten, giving him a big confidence boost and making him feel included.
We love how the students' public speaking abilities are consciously developed year-over-year. The students in the upper school are immensely impressive in this regard; the Crossroads methods really shine here.
And finally, we love the new head of school, Dan Morrissey. We feel confident in his leadership (our kid is obsessed with his morning high-fives & dad jokes at drop off) and we look forward to the directions he'll be taking Crossroads in the future!
