Crockett High School is a great school. The teachers and students are always willing to support you. Many of the teachers would become your best friend and would help you out with anything that you need. The AP classes at Crockett are very challenging and I am so glad that I'm taking advantage of them. Crockett will definitely challenge you and make sure that you are on top of your work. Being involved in extracurriculars is great as well. Everyone supports each other. While being in marching band, the band hall was like my second home. I would be there for hours during the summer for summer band and we would have practice every day after school. I love my band family and I'm so glad that I joined. Take all the opportunities Crockett has to offer!

I have mixed feelings about this school. There are a few excellent teachers, but the truly exceptional ones have moved on to bigger and better things. This being said, I do not feel like any of my teachers genuinely care about me.Some of our programs like cosmetology, Autotech and entrepreneurship provide wonderful opportunities for students as they are able to acquire certifications and amazing experience before leaving high school. We are also right across the street from Austin Community College and have a dual enrollment program for certain classes through UT, so gaining college credit is not difficult. However, our AP preparation is lacking. I did not feel prepared for the tests I have taken at all, and my scores reflected this. Also, I feel that the coursework has not prepared me for college at all. There is a redo policy in place that allows students to turn in assignments as many times as they would like to, raising their grades.
Crockett is a great school. I meet people who say " oh you go to Crockett? I went there too! I graduated a few years back " and they have a career and a family and living a happy life, walking into Crockett gives you a home feeling. There's all types of different people, go to Crockett but we all support eachother in the ways we can. There's no team that's made less or no team made higher were a family,
