My experience at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School wasn't what I expected. I thought the high school was going to be big but instead the school was small, well it used to be a elementary school. I thought since it was a private school we would be getting top notch food but I was wrong about that too. Well some of the stuff they served was okay but a lot of food they served us was terrible. As far as technology goes they need to do huge upgrades on that. The school is okay but they need to make some very huge changes.
Cristo Rey Jesuit and the people there really helped me to grow mentally, physically and I had many great opportunities with working for different big cooperations. The opportunity to build my resume, gain experience and skills advanced & also motivated me to want more out of life. I'm grateful for the people whom I have met because Cristo Rey is more of a family and when I first started there, my family and I started going through really hard times, so my first year was rough, but it was the staff and friends there that really helped me apart from my mother. I have been through sports injuries, but each time I've faced an obstacle, the school really helped me. I'm grateful! I also appreciated the small size classrooms which helped to better my learning. This is the reason that I am choosing to attend a private college which better suit my educational needs. Although, we all are being affected by Covid and having to do school on Zoom, it has been difficult but we made it.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is one of the best private co-ed High Schools in Baltimore City. My School has shown several encouragement throughout my years here. When I first come to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, they made me feel very welcomed. The Teachers are good teachers who teach because they love too instead of having too. They put their passion into everything that they teach and always helps students when they are in need. My favorite teacher at this school is Ms.Delaney, who was my english teacher and advisory and always should that she cared for her students like they were her own.
My experience at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School has been great! This is a school that is extremely focused on getting students to college. 100% of the students that have attended Cristo Rey has been accepted into at least one college. Something that separates this high school from others is that students have the opportunity to have an internship and learn what it is like to be in a work place environment. Learn how to speak professionally, give good gestures, good body language, and most importantly be responsible. Something that I would like to see change in Cristo Rey is the amount of focus on sports, we have a really small gym which we use as the cafeteria too. We don't have locker rooms and we are a conference C sports school. Someone like me who loves sports see this as a downfall in the school but academically it is one of the best experiences a student can have.
I like that it gets you prepared for college and they help you apply for college. Also, the teachers are helpful they always you whenever you need help.
It’s an ok experience, I don’t regret coming here though. At Cristo Rey, it’s pretty much the same environment you’d find at a public school except less real fights. Sports are pretty subpar as far as competition level but the culture around the basketball team is nice. There can be a lot of drama as well with students and faculty which does deter people away from the academic aspect. I can say that the teachers and staff don’t really expect that much from you grade-wise because a lot of of the gpas here are ether average or below average. You will end up loosing a bunch of weight or eating a lot of fast food here because the school lunch isn’t that great.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a very inclusive and welcoming environment for all. The staff is very supportive and understanding, and offers any extra help if needed. The Cristo Rey Jesuit community makes sure that no one is left behind and that everyone is successful.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is where you should want your child, especially if they are a minority. Your scholar will be surrounded by a loving and nurturing environment and will quickly grow from that. Although challenging at times, the teachers stand by you literally every step of the way to make sure the material is being retained. You are not just being talked at, you are actively engaging in open conversations.
My experience was a little tough at first but towards the end I did great. In order to succeed at this school, you have to learn how to manage your time.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is an amazing high school that provides not only an education in school, but an education of work. The Intern Corporate-ship program is a program that allows Cristo Rey Jesuit High School students to work once a week during the weekdays, and with more than a hundred workplaces to be able to work at. The program allows students to become familiar with work at an early age, and students are treated as equal in their jobs and not as a child. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is also a place where being accepted into college is not a dream but a reality, as one-hundred percent of seniors are accepted into various college across the country. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School prepares students for college with lessons on receiving financial aid, the major students are interested in, how the environment of the college classroom is displayed, and so much more. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is such an amazing that not only provides an education, but opportunities.
My experience at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is really good and challenging. I also developed more of my character there and boosted my social skills. I also improved on my creative abilities.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School gave me an opportunity to get an excellent Private School education for less money due to my families low income. Which I'm not embarrassed to say because I was awarded the opportunity to learn a college education on a high school level. The only thing could change for as the school is the location. Location is everything correct?
When I first started Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, I didn’t know what to expect. At first I didn’t like it because I felt like the school staff wanted to much from the students. Now I realize that they were just preparing us for college. It is a college prep school. Cristo Rey didn’t just prepare us for college, it prepared us for work as well. I’ve got 4 years of work experiences because my school provides us internships throughout the school year. It’s a requirement to work because it help pay off our school yearly tuition. Each grade has a designated day to work, so as a senior I work on Tuesday from 9am to 4pm. I appreciate the opportunity to work because it will help me further in the future. I like how we get a lot of help from out College Counselors they are the reason why the school has a 100% college acceptances rate. I do wish it was more diversity in the students, so there can be a lot of personalities and backgrounds to explore.
What I like about Cristo Rey is the great diversity of students in the school. The students here have many different personalities and its amazing to see.
What I like about Cristo Rey Jesuit is that it is a great school to experience what it is like to work in a workplace. Us students are fortunate to have the opportunity to have an internship where we are placed based on a survey we take to recommend what we would like to do that year. This happens 1-2 days a week. What can be changed about Cristo Rey Jesuit is the interaction with the students and teachers/advisers. It takes two people to form a good relationship and I believe that we need to have good relationships with our teachers to establish a good environment in a classroom. To make this better I think mandatory talks with our teachers/advisers once a month would be a great and just talk about how everything is in general.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a great school that will get you ready for college by having really great teachers helping you out with anything. It also has a great internship program that will get anyone ready for the real world when they graduate.
I like the amount of help avalible for the students. I wish that they had a larger variety of sports , but because of the size of the building it’s harder.
