Cristo Rey is a catholic private school located in Sacramento, California. My overall experience there has been great. Since it is a small school each student has chance to be herd and each teacher has a chance to reach out. Cristo Rey strives to create a safe tight knit community where everyone is welcome. Most of the teachers have succeeded in creating a connection with student and making their classes engaging. Most everybody knows everyone. Help whether academic or otherwise is always available. Cristo Rey offers a work study program. In it I, and students in general, have and will learn different work skills a work forces. The work study program is set up in a way that will help us grow and learn about the real world. Overall my experience at Cristo Rey has been awesome, so don't let the uniform discourage you they are actually not that bad.
Overall I like Cristo Rey High School because of the work study program, the ability to work and have a resume that looks good. I also enjoy the teachers I have had during my four years there, I get along with them and am comfortable to talk with them. I also enjoy the students we have because I become friends with them easily. Another thing I enjoy is the theology class, I'm able to learn more about the study of God since I finished my communion and confirmation. Also, AP classes, my junior year I got accepted to AP Spanish and it helped me improve more on my spanish speaking, reading, and writing. I also enjoy being at Cristo Rey because they not only prepare you for the work environment but also for the college life.
My experience at this school was wonderful. I went there going excited to meet new people and start somewhere new. The teachers there are very smart and nice, and as well as the students. We are very hardworking, we get to experience having a job while having education as well. The sports there are my favorite. I play soccer and I become so close to the people everyone there feels like a big family. The counselors there help you with anything and help you work your way up to college and they leave no one behind.
