It was an absolute pleasure to be able to attend a high school as prestigious as Crestwood High School. Our advisor, Ms. Hamadi, was a delight to work with. The classes offered prepared us for the real world, as well as opened opportunities for us to grow as individuals and into the adults we are today. There was a place for everyone, as there were also tons of sports and activities to participate in, including track, theater, rowing, basketball, football, wrestling, ice hockey, and much more. The academics were outstanding, as I remember most of the AP classes being completely full. Many students participate in dual enrollment, and we're encourage to get ahead and set ourselves up for success. There was also a mandatory class Seniors had to take, which helped them prepare resumes, college applications, and learn financial responsibility. Overall, I'm glad I got to attend Crestwood for my final year of high school, and wouldn't change a single thing if I could go back!
My experience at Crestwood was a strange one. My freshman year was cut short due to
Covid, and I didn’t even have a sophomore year (unless you count staring a screen all day). My last two years were my favorite. Junior year was fun because I got to see everyone that I missed again. I became closer with people I wasn’t close with before, and I met people new to the school. My teachers were all great, and I loved my classes. I started Dual Enrollment and was very involved in the National Honor Society (NHS). Senior year was even better (minus senioritis and college applications, which were absolutely terrifying). I was basically friends with my teachers. I got a leadership position in NHS, and I was making so many memories with my classmates and my best friends. My grades were always great, and Crestwood helped me get accepted into my dream college. I even became friends with my counselor through the college application process.

The best part of going to Crestwood would have to be seeing my friends and being apart of the amazing Crestwood high school marching band. The second thing is when I got the learn new things with the amazing teachers.
The worst parts were I would have to say some of the students in the school. Another thing is the way the school would treat the student body we went to school in some un-suitable conditions. For example going to school in dangerous snow storms, being in school when their is a liable threat. Another down side was the way Crestwood is run, there is a lot of lgbtq discrimination in the school and it has never been address along with some racism against some of the black students.
