Honestly I love the smaller classes and family dynamic of this school, I’m in my third year now and the friendships I make there are for a lifetime. We’ve had problems in the past like any other school but under our new administration we’ve improved a lot and are still improving every day. It is an amazing school for a strong Christian foundation and an understanding of other religions as well. There are tuns of electives for people interested in art, business management, leadership, etc. there are also numerous clubs student can be a part of as well. One of my favorite things about Crescent City is serve day. Our serve day is when all of the high school students takes one day out of the year and serves the community, every year I’ve gone to feed the homeless and just the looks on their faces and the conversations you have are life chancing.

Our son and daughter are both in 9th grade. This is their first year at CCCS. On our first visit to the school we met mrs. Cindy Johnson. She is the head of student life and leadership development. After our first visit, because of her, we knew this was the school for our kids. She immediately took them under her wing and got them involved in student leadership. The administration cares about the kids. The teachers all strive to help our children succeed and excel academically and in life. I was really impressed that the entire staff and student body went on a retreat for two days at the beginning of the school year. It shows they are truly invested in our kids lives. They have grown spiritually more then I could have hoped for. We are proud parents and honored to be part of the Pioneer Family.

Crescent City Christian School was a wierd high school. The high school system has less than 125 students, and only 1 class per grade. They don’t do AP classes or dual enrollment which hurts for college. The academics are alright, but I would’ve loved to be ahead instead of where everybody else is. The athletics aren’t like a regular high schools. Besides basketball, we barely get a turnout for games. For away games, we will be lucky to have a fan in the stands. Not much of a winning culture. Something I do like about the school is that everybody knows each other since the school is so small. Sure, it’d be cool to meet different people everyday, but knowing everybody around you is something most people don’t have at their school.
