Academics are the number one focus of Creekside. It's a tough program, kids are challenged, homework levels are high due to the 4 day week. It's worth it! The flexibility and encouragement to travel, use alternative real world education is highly valued and supported.

The teachers at Creekside are so enthusiastic and energetic about our school, you can see it rub off on the children every single day. What I notice is different here is that the teachers want to be a part of something different in terms of an education model. Our teacher commutes almost 2 hours each way just to teach at Creekside. This is our 3rd year and every teacher has obviously had a different teaching style but each are encouraged to bring and share their own interests & experiences to the classroom. Kids are constantly learning as well as growing in terms of self awareness, environmental awareness, community awareness. They have a tremendous sense of their role in the community around them and understanding of how lucky they are to have classrooms surrounded by huge mountains, world class skiing, hiking trails etc. The teachers really help the kids take it all in and process their place in it all. They are amazing!!
Friday's are dedicated to an entire day of pto driven extracurricular education. They bring in special educators from all over the region, take overnight field trips, ropes courses, learn new sports & art/science based activities & the kids & parents love it. It's the best thing about our school.
