Kindergarten was great but anything after was horrible. I think the school would run better with a different Headmaster. One who is more caring and takes bullying serious. Unless your in the "click" with the Headmaster, his wife and friends than your concerns will NEVER be addressed properly
I loved how they allowed students to work at their own pace. If you were ahead of others In a certain subject, say, math, they would let you work on your own so that you could work at your own pace. Each one of the teachers were very friendly, and cared very much about all of the students. There were also many different options of extra curriculars.
I am a former student from this school. My experience at this school was a very good one until I reached 8th grade. The new principal had no idea how to run the school, and ran it as an authoritarian. She tried to crack down on trouble-makers in the 8th grade, but it all backfired. All the good teachers were leaving, and the school was starting to hire people who were barely qualified for the job and had no passion for teaching. The school is going downhill very fast, and I can see it closing in just a few years. I do not recommend sending your kids there, if you really want them to learn. They do not prepare you for high school in any way, either. Just don't send your kids there, if you want the best for your kids.
CMA allows the children to learn at their pace. They also have zero tolerance for bullies. Additionally the population is very diverse which is what attracted me to the school.
More diversity, but we know that's up to the parents and where they decide to enroll their children. Also I would to see them focus on the children that have a hard time learning the Montessori way.
