There are so many microaggressions towards members of the Lgbt community, I feel extremely unsafe here.
The education I have received here is going to help me in college. I have been showed life skills and have been involved with programs that helped me decide what I want to do after high school. I recommend that new students and underclassman should participate in as many clubs and programs as possible. I was a member of Elevate a business immersion program and it helped me solidify I want to work in finance.
Administration lacked prime skills especially in terms of discipline and allowed some specific things to happen that should not have. Overall was an okay school.
I loved going to Craig High School because I was welcomed with open arms into a friend group and had amazing teachers that would take their personal time to sit down just to make sure I understood the content. I learned how to become a leader myself and had equal opportunities at a number of things. The only reason I cannot rate the school perfect is due to the easier classes that smarter people take in order to retain a good grade. However, our high school is dealing with this, but I still feel that many students might not push to do their hardest if they don't have to.
My experience with Craig High School has had many, many ups and downs, much like any other high school student. But this school has given me the best four years of my life. I’ve met so many people who I can consider lifelong friends and acquaintances. I have rarely, if ever, had a bad experience with a teacher here. I competed in three sports each year of high school, and created bonds that I didn’t know I had the capacity to make with my teammates. I often find myself missing going to school due to COVID-19, which is something I don’t think students at other schools can say. Janesville Craig is one of my favorite places to be.
I think Craig High School is a pretty average school. There are good teachers and opportunities like clubs and sports. However, I don't think there is anything special with Craig.
This school is so underdeveloped man. I hate when we learn stuff in school like the quadratic formula, but we don’t learn useful stuff such as tax evasion.
Amazing experience with the band programs. Teachers were hit or miss- some great and super dedicated, while some definitely did not care at all.
Overall, my experience at Craig High School was incredibly memorable. The various programs and extracurricular activities were the best part of the school. A lot of my best memories came from involvement in music and clubs. However, one experience that I did not enjoy in high school is the structure of the team sports. The selection for athletes has a clear bias favoring 'Booster Club' families and those who participated in certain club sports. This unfair selection has such a large impact on students' overall happiness, level of confidence, etc.
I am loving my experience at Craig High School! However, I do want to see a change in improving students day to day lives with encouragement from the staff.
I loved a lot of my teachers, along with the information and experience I absorbed over the years I've been at Craig High School.
I had many great teachers and coaches while attending Craig. I left feeling ready to head off on new challenges. I was able to take many science classes that took place in great labs. We also have a great Fieldhouse with workout facilities which was beneficial to me.
Craig has amazing teachers and a wonderful AP program. The teachers work very hard for their students and go above and beyond to help them with anything they need.
I have enjoyed my time at Craig. I have met many great friends and also some great teachers. I even met my current boyfriend here, we have been dating now for a year. Craig is surrounded by great people who are there for a good reason. If I could just change one thing about this school, however, it would be the set up. Every year we are given different rules and regulations, grading policies, every teacher does something different, which in return makes keeping up a little difficult. I know that the teachers do not necessarily have control over this, and that staff is not meaning for things to be confusing, however, it is evident that they do not have the most efficient programming.
The teachers and friends I have made. Craig has a really good art department that not much schools get to have
I do enjoy the teachers, students, and activities that I have found at Craig High School. I have been very happy to attend this school for the past 4 years and I believe it has given me a lot of knowledge and skills that I can use in the future. The only thing that concerns me sometimes is the safety of the school because we have had a lot of scares in the past regarding the security of students.
I like Craig, but I recognize that it has problems. The grading system sucks, and the Iblock/Flex/prides period is almost useless, and it should be changed or removed. The school itself seems nice, and most of its teachers I liked. The librarians are super nice.
