I really enjoy Cowan High School and the staff employed their! The school is small enough to be able to know everyone there and have a personal relationship with everyone. The only downfall of a small school, like Cowan, is that they do not offer a lot of variety in their electives and athletics.

I have attended Cowan Community School Corporation since Kindergarten. Cowan is a rural community school with small classes. Everyone greets you by name and everyone knows you so well it resembles that of a "family" atmosphere.

However, as with many small school, the opportunity for advanced courses or college level courses is very limited. Technology is also a drawback. Academically we are not known for being the strongest school in the area.

On the other hand, if you want to be involved in any extra curricular activities or any sport, you are always welcome and are never turned away. You do have the opportunity to participate in anything you like because numbers and class sizes are so low. We are not usually known to be the most competitive team in the area, but you are always given the experience of being part of a team.
Cowan was overall an excellent high school. Although it was a very small school, they teachers and administrators did a great job preparing me for college. The Cowan community was filled with caring individuals who helped me and other students strive to be our best selves.
