My experience at Covington High is great! The teachers really connect with students and try their best to help everyone pass and make passing grades. Covington High School can make some changes regarding food or maybe even having more pep rallies but, other than that, Covington High is a great school!

Covington High School is an amazing school to attend. It is a public school located in Covington, LA. It has 1,555 students with a student:teacher ratio of 17:1. According to state test scores, 58% of students are at least proficient in math and 72% in reading. Covington High has the opportunities for kids to find their niche and blossom into something wonderful. There are some great kids and teachers here. The communication between the administration, students, and parents is top of the line. This school also offers a solid academic program as well as great sports program, clubs, and other student activities.
Covington High is, a traditional Southern High School. Very big on sports, especially football. Full of loving, and kind faculty and staff. Not the safest environment, and has lot of negative kids. The Art programs are outstanding, especially the Talented Theatre program. Lots of diversity in the students, but not a lot of uniting. The social studies department is very strong, but science, math, and English are burdened by the awful curriculum. Parent involvement is low, but I wouldn't say that its out of the ordinary- they are in high school. Their resources are very limited and not up to date. The school is not perfect in any way. BUT.... They have a lot of pride. Which makes for a pretty nice high school experience. - Just a student.
