Covina High School offers many incredible and unique opportunities for students to excel in different areas, including engineering, veterinary science and agriculture, medical science, and performing arts. Many teachers, but not all unfortunately, offer exceptional instruction in their subjects, going the extra mile to ensure that students are successful. Covina High has different levels of classes -- from the most rigorous to the most basic and everything in between. The only negative aspect is that there is no sense of school pride or spirit due to the stringent and overbearing rules and regulations set by the administrative team, which do not focus on or prioritize the needs that students have to experience high school in a fun, memorable, and spirited way.

As an alumnus of the class of 2017, I was able to witness a great deal of changes and renovations to the campus as required by the district to ensure the students' safety. I believe that they take very seriously being prepared for college and have resources through the college and career center, the library, and knowledgeable and friendly staff that are more than willing to work with students. The only parts that could use improvement are the size and staffing of their arts programs. Although the music department has grown over the years, lack of funding is evident in comparison to all the rest of the school's activites.
It was a very welcoming fun school. Everyone fits in and everyone’s so nice including the teachers. No ones alone everyone’s always with everyone and everyone’s friends with everyone. I loved attending school here!
