Covenant Classical School does an excellent job emphasizing the importance of admiring beauty, goodness, and truth in what they have their students read, analyze, and write. I love their Christ-centered worldview in every subject they teach, and the students there are always open to deep theological discussions. I also enjoyed reading classical literature and learning about classical history and rhetorical styles, but I do wish they had a stronger math and science program. All of the school's focus is on what makes their school unique-- being a liberal arts school-- but it does not provide the necessary courses nor instruction for someone who does not want to pursue a career in liberal arts. Overall, however, I would recommend this school, especially for someone wanting to pursue a more writing and analyzing-based education.
Covenant Classical School is not for every student. You have to be very dedicated and hardworking in order to achieve the standards that are set for you. My experience at Covenant was something that I will always appreciate. I had some fantastic teachers and encouraging classmates. If I could change one thing about Covenant, it would be to have more resources available to struggling students.
Overall a great school. The teachers, parents, and staff are really passionate about giving students a wholistic and rigorous classical education. The school is still expanding and there is a lot of work left to do to make Covenant the best it can be. In the coming years Covenant will have to make important changes to continue to support its students as it grows. I think it will be crucial for the school to invest more resources in Math and Science, and explore technology related classes and clubs. It will also be important for Covenant to provide more resources to students to navigate college applications and scholarships.
