I didn't realize how much the teachers cared until I graduated! Something that I took for granted was their care to build a relationship with the students. Never once have I seen an administrator shut down an idea or dream from a student. What I would love to see, however, is more clubs and activities to help students expand their interests and passions.
I am currently a senior at Cousino Senior High School graduating in the year 2020. I have made a lot of memories at Cousino when it came to the classes I took, the teachers I had, and the friends I made. Cousino does its best to keep their students safe and free from illegal substances and diverse in race. The teachers do their best to give their students the best education they can, although at some times they can give overwhelming work and stress the students out. Clubs, sports, extracurricular classes, advanced and career preparation classes are offered to everyone. The final aspect of Cousino is the social life, which is alright. There still is a lot of drama that flows and bullying/teasing that take place against others, but the mood of the students tend to be okay. People have their friend groups and everyone for the most part is friendly and gets along with each other. Overall, I rate Cousino High School four out of five stars.
My experience at Cousino was average. It was not awful in regards to safety and some teachers were really good. On the other hand, I do not feel prepared for college compared to some of my friends that attend other schools. The school also lacks school spirit and student participation. It seems like most students just come to school and do not have much involvement in any clubs, sports, events, or activities.
