Country Day School of Baton Rouge Reviews

After beginning to work at CDS I discovered all the staff is so inviting and immediately bring you in like family. The training period is very helpful in learning positive language and keeping a positive outlook. Even when there are frustrating moments, the smiles on the children's faces make it worth it. The administration is very understanding and they are helpful in teaching new activities to do with the children. We work hard to help each child learn more about their interests and help them reach developmental milestones.
With COVID we have new regulations which include, taking temperatures of the children and staff upon arrival and after naptime. Only staff is allowed on campus-- with parents being met at our front gate and children being walked to their classrooms. Masks are required for staff and parents, and classes are separated. I have felt safe during this time of COVID.

We love Country Day. We had one child go through pre-k and 2 are still attending. The oldest was definitely ready for school. The teachers genuinely care about the student.s. Although it is a daycare, they treat it as a school which we love.
Overall this school has let me thrive in ways that I had never thought possible. It doesn't matter if your loud, quiet, or somewhere in-between; You will find your place at runnels. It is also easy top make friends with both the students and faculty at the schools. Overall, many classes are challenging, but these classes don't hold you into specific groups. For example, I have taken multiple AP and Honors classes AND I am able to be on the cross country team. Just because you are in challenging classes or athletics doesn't mean you have to be in only one group; you can be in both, and be accepted by both. One of the main things that sets this school apart from other schools is the size. While at many other high schools you can expect individual classes of thirty or more, at Runnels most classes have a maximum of twelve people. Another thing that sets Runnels apart from other schools is the student environment. There are very few Cliques at our school, bullying and hazing are almost nonexistent, and Students are overall very kind.
