Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School Reviews

Cottonwood is an amazing school! Every teacher is dedicated to making each student feel at home. Although the workload can be a lot at times, it really has prepared me to know what college is like. It gives students a very good work ethic, and after being at this school for five years, I have learned so many things that have helped me in the real world. I love that this school offers so many different electives to help students get their creative juices flowing. As a senior this year, the IB Program has trained me to think like a college student. I will be very prepared when I graduate and will understand how lessons will be taught in college. I am very pleased with how this school runs and addresses important issues. This school is my home and is a safe place I can turn to. I have created so many friendships with kids in my classes as well as my teachers. I would definitely recommend attending if you're looking for a really great education that will prepare you for the real world.
Such a great school. Very well organized and professional. Students are taught to take responsibility for their education. Classes are challenging and the variety of classes, activities, clubs and sports are what make my children look forward to school each day. Students are taught to discuss and debate using the Socratic Seminar method. There’s a good reason this school is #1. Teachers and staff do such an amazing job. Starting in 6th grade, the students are being prepared to think about their long-term education. College readiness is at the forefront. By 8th grade, they receive high school credits, as they move toward an IB classes in high school. You can tell they are passionate about their profession and it reflects well upon the student body. Can’t recommend this school enough!
I have been attending Cottonwood Classical since sixth grade, this year I am a senior. Through out the past 6 years, I have experienced so many ups and downs through this school. To start off with things I think we could change to improve the community as a whole, I think we could eliminate the overwhelming amounts of work, The school does tend to overwork students and pile a lot of work on them. There are both pros and cons to this. While it is good to have work so we can improve on our skills and abilities, our mental health is very important too and having loads of homework can be very stressful and hard on us. Some things I do appreciate very much about the school is the caring community. To go off mental health, teachers are very understanding and will always be there for you through any and everything. I like the extracurricular activities and academic opportunities that the school offers and they should continue to do this. Overall, Cottonwood is an excellent school to attend.
