It's a very good school. It comes with all of the benefits that small schools typically have. Even for our low number of students, we manage to pull our weight like we are one of the bigger schools. However, like many small schools, we can find ourselves understaffed, and without as many programs or opportunities.

My experience at Cotopaxi has been amazing so far. The teachers here are amazing and love to help the students. If you need help with either school or just need someone to talk to the teachers at my amazing school would love to help. We may not have the best facilities, funding, or classes like the bigs schools have. The thing we do have to a great, amazing community who love to help each other. I personally love coaching middle school sports, having this opportunity has been great. The only things I'd fix about my school is the funding we get and I'd love to see more challenging classes at my school. Being such a small school we don't have AP classes. In total my experience at Cotopaxi High school has been amazing and I've loved everyday I've attended.
The teachers are nice and willing to help if you ask. It is very easy to get a good grade if you actually care and they are often flexible with deadlines, however, there are a few teachers that are more strict on grading. The course load is normally light unless you enroll in online or college classes. I would have to say that they do not prepare you for the rigor of college academics, but none of the schools around here do. The school culture is very sports oriented and cliquish like every other high school.
