What I appreciate most about COHS is the variety of activities and opportunities available to the students. While some schools focus only on sports or specific groups, all of CO's pathways and programs are given attention and considered important on campus.
Students and staff are friendly, and it is easy to make personal connections with teachers despite the large school population. School spirit is normal, but not forced in a cult-like way as in some schools.
The problems at CO are the problems that all public schools face. However, involved students are sure to thrive here! CO gives its students tons of opportunities, but it comes down to the students themselves to take advantage of them.

I’ve only been at this school for around a year, and I am already looking forward to continuing my education here. The faculty and staff members work hard to make sure each and every student is ready & prepared for life after high school. Although some teachers may be excessive with assigning homework, it all pays off in the long run. All of us could use a little extra practice!
I liked how most of the teachers were very involved in the students life and wanted us to succeed. I feel like my school is very diverse, because we have many races. Being a diverse schoo,l it exposes the students knowledge to different cultures. The safety could be a bit better because some of the staff need to make it their priority to put the students first and make it urgent in emergencies. CO has a great way for the students to experience the different pathways for students: culinary, engineering (AED), visual and performing arts, graphic design, broadcasting, coding/robotics, medical careers, and entrepreneurship. Overall, Cosumnes Oaks for me has been positive and has shaped me into who I am today for my future.
