CHS is a good school. They have a beautiful buildings with state of the art labs, theater, and athletic facilities. Class sizes are not too big, not too small. They have a well-rounded arts program, as well as excellent core academics. I had some really great teachers at CHS, including one nationally recognized Teacher-of-the-Year and several teachers whom I would call mentors and (now) even friends. They offer a good solid public high school program. However, I struggled, socially and emotionally, especially in my junior and senior years. And while several teachers tried to help me, there weren't really resources in place to truly address what was going on. I wish that teachers and counselors had better resources with which to work, so as to quickly identify and help kids who need more than purely academic intervention.

Corvallis highschool is chocked full of great teachers, amazing staff and unique opportunities. I came into highschool after being homeschooled for the entirety of my life, though it was a huge adjustment CHS took me under it's wing and gave me a place to grow up. I will always love the spirit and culture in Corvallis High School and will leave with great skills and experiences. Go Sparts!
It was a high-class public school, with self-sufficient funding and a good amount of funding from the state. There was equal opportunity in all activities such as dance, art, sports, and music. Its well-rounded curriculum prepared me for college. And the competitiveness and drive of students leave a very high overall GPA. I would wish for this school to teach us more about adult semantics such as communications and how to file taxes. Other than that, this high school creates a very bright future for us.
