I started at Coronado in January. I thought it was going to be hard to fit it, but it really wasn't. My teachers and classes made a path for me to make a lot of friends and succeed grade wise. I truly know that all the teachers and staff there really want to see everyone succeed. Even the security guards can make your day so much better. I always tell my friend that I love Coronado and that they should transfer.
The school spirit there is very contagious! Whether it's for drama or sports or band or anything, you cant help but getting hyped for it.
I never heard of this school before I enrolled which makes me sad becuase it is truly amazing and should be the talk of the city.
The classes they offer are fun, engaging, and useful aswell!
All in all, Coronado High school is a very nice, wellkept, inviting, fun, and useful school that's full of school spirit. And I look forward to the next 3 years I'm there!

I transferred to Coronado High School my junior year, and I enjoyed it! However, the classes were easy until I started taking AP. The community was decent and very diverse, which was nice and refreshing since Colorado Springs is a very white dominate city. But there were two very distinct social groups: those who did drugs and those who did not. That was the only sketchy part. But other than that, I really enjoyed going to Coronado.
Just like any other High School experience, school is what you make of it. Nevertheless, my experience at Coronado High School was great especially during the 2019-2020 senior year. Many of our athletic teams participated in State, our performing arts has achieved numerous awards, and our clubs and activities have grown immensely over the years from Reader’s Guild all the way to Cyber Security. Coronado High School offers dual enrollment programs, AP, Pre-AP, honors, and CU Gold/CU succeed classes. It’s a wonderful way to get more education paid for while you are still in a a High School setting. Besides academics our school is known for our spirit (and is one of the only schools in the Colorado Springs area that hosts a homecoming parade that includes feeder middle schools). I recommend this school for its academics, extracurriculars, athletics, and community.
