Cornerstone was a fantastic school. The teacher were kind and passionate about their learning. I am so grateful for the education I received there, and I feel as though I learned many valuable lessons about work ethic, passion, and care in the school. While it was often hard, learning through fun projects and immersive lessons truly solidified the knowledge. Thus, high school has become a breeze for me. Sadly, amidst all the current scandals and teachers leaving, I am scared that Cornerstone may loose its identity. I truly hope that it retains its beautiful nature..

Cornerstone Academy (middle school) was so SWEET and encouraging with the children - there was a palpable feeling of community and acceptance. While other middle schoolers were elsewhere were having to deal with awful rejection and judgmental teen issues, the students at Cornerstone were oblivious to that kind of mean-spirited influence. The teachers kept homework to a very reasonable level and didn't stress out over standardized tests... they weren't even allowed to talk about them. And at the same time, this school was just as challenging and excellent in the education it delivered as the other neighboring district schools. We liked how they team-taught subjects so that math was taught simultaneously with science and reading and writing was taught along with history or social studies. The students tested at the same or even higher level as other district schools, and they all merged into high school without a hitch. Those middle school years were a sweet time for my son (unlike other kids' middle school memories!)
Cornerstone was great and terrible at the same time. The academics are great and I learned a lot, but everything else sucks. The teachers appear to be very nice, as most of them are, but they are very biased. They are nice to the students who are quiet and don't speak up, but they are quite rude to the rest. The teachers were very nice to me my first 2 years, but then in my last year I started hanging out with a different group. After I was friends with my new group the teachers were extremely rude to not only my friends but also to me. They would slut shame, tell us to cover up our bodies and one administrator even told my friend, "she was a gonna get raped and it would be her fault". They have good intentions until you call them out for their BS. Do not recommend at all.
