I like the life long friends I made there and the exposure I received from some of the classes I took while attending Corliss. Two classes have impacted me a lot and has helped with my career goals and dreams, the two classes were Culinary and Broadcasting. These classes were big eye-openers and has helped me find myself a lot. somethings I would like to see a change in at Corliss is some of the staff, preferably the teachers. I would like to see more teachers teach and make the classrooms be productive and leave each student with some type of knowledge each day they attend.

What I love most about Corliss high school is the school community is like family. We are the safest high school in our district and it is shown throughout the day. The teacher are more than just educators, they actually care about the students well-being. The students look out for one another even if there is issues we all know that we are still family. I wouldn’t change anything about Corliss high school
My experience at Corliss so far has been great. I can say that everyone fits in at this school. We are a unity. In a way everyone knows each other. We all are each others friends and help one another through situations. What I like about Corliss is the College Readiness Programs, Trio and Gear UP, to help all grades on their passageway to college. Trio and Gear UP sponsor trips for us to visit different colleges and universities to help students narrow down which one best fits. I also like the teachers at Corliss. They are very devoted to students to help us learn and pass the classes. Our new edition, Principal Ali Muhammad, has been the perfect person for our school. He is very committed into our lives for Students and Staff. He always takes time out of his day to talk to all of us as we pass him to go class. Our witty and unique principal has been a great addition to the team. Overall, Corliss has been the best opportunity for me.
